Simplicity

Very user friendly AS/400(iSeries) host based, SAA compliant pull-down menu screens prompt for desired form definitions, including auto-burst and de-collate, multipart form distribution, auto-form rotation, backside printing, paper tray selection, output queue locations, archive spool file options and much more.

Automatic Forms Merging Options

iDocs� provides various methods for defining merges of spool file data to designed form templates. An unlimited number of "Engines" can be defined which poll defined output queues for desired spool files. Optionally inFORM Decisions can provide "Print Immediate" API's to define for the parameters of the forms merge operation...call us we'll it explain it more.

Data Mapping Options

iDocs� offers various options to map AS/400(iSeries) data to designed form templates.

TFields are the drag 'n' drop approach which link to automatically recognized form fields on the designed spool file mapping form.
X/Y Coordinate offer AS/400(iSeries) host based screens to highlight spool data and type in the X/Y coordinate on the e-form.
Row/Column works the same as X/Y, except that Row/Column positions are entered versus X/Y.
Database mapping option give the ability to capture and map database fields to designed electronic forms.

Lightning Quick Performance

Since file sizes average approximately 20k, and the program does not do merging directly on the AS/400(iSeries), both host system and laser printer performance are tremendously enhanced - very little hits on AS/400(iSeries). Laser printers run at rated speeds.

Laser Security Check Printing

Print MICR encoded checks with variable data, check template, logos, signatures, on blank security check paper in one pass through laser printer. Removable printer resident "flash" storage device options add unbreakable security for check and document printing applications.

ASCII Pass-Thru, Client-Server functionality and AS/400 Workflow

iDocs� uses state-of-the-art API's to convert EBCDIC spool files to ASCII spool files. This very simply means iDocs� does not care how your laser printer is connected to the AS/400(iSeries) . Further, users can copy the compiled and merged ASCII spool file and electronic form data to a locally attached laser printers (e.g. lpt1), email to users across a network or fax across a network. iDocs� optionally saves a merged FORM - ASCII spool file in a shared folder to be accessed at any time to perform any of the above functions.

The Bridge

Converted electronic form files are easily transferred to the AS/400(iSeries) host in a matter of seconds by using drag 'n' drop icons to load converted forms into IFS supported directories. IBM Personal Communication, Client-Access, PC-Support, Rhumba, NetSoft and most PC-AS/400(iSeries) Communication programs can be used.
